Emmaus is a community at Grace United Methodist
Church in St. Augustine FL and around the United States focused on developing
mature Christian disciples. The people that make up Emmaus
are unfinished Christians on a journey of knowing Christ.
We meet regularly for gatherings, Bible studies, meals, and
other events, but our community exists wherever the people
of Emmaus find themselves. Our faith is expressed in our
gatherings and in our day to day life together. Life
is ministry, work is mission, and play is worship.

We are unfinished Christians on a journey of
knowing Christ. We believe that Christianity is a lifestyle
of learning from and being formed by God.
Communion
. .
. When we are together we pray, study, sing, share meals,
and commune with the risen Christ. Our meetings are simply
reflections of our ongoing journey with God. We want worship
to be our way of life.
Service
. . . We are seeking to bless our world by giving
ourselves in service to God and our neighbors. Our calling
is to continue the selfless servant ministry of Jesus.
Forgiveness
. . . Just as the Lord has forgiven us, so we
forgive one another and our enemies. Forgiveness is our
greatest need and our most powerful gift.
